Free website accessibility checker for Shopify and WooCommerce stores

Paste your store address. We test your home page and up to 2 more pages (like a product page and your cart) with the open-source axe-core engine, then explain the top problems in plain English, and how to fix them.

Public pages only. Takes 20–60 seconds. Limit: 5 free scans per day.

How the free scan works

  1. Paste your address

Any public Shopify, WooCommerce or other store. No account, no install, nothing to add to your theme.

  2. We test three pages

A real Chrome browser loads your home page, then looks for a product page and your cart, and runs axe-core on each.

  3. You get a plain-English summary

Issue counts by severity (critical, serious, moderate, minor), the 5 most important problems, who they affect and how to fix them.

What it checks, and what it can’t

What the scan checks

Automatically testable WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 Level A and AA rules, including:

  • Alt text on product and banner images
  • Color contrast of prices, buttons and links
  • Form labels on search, newsletter and variant pickers
  • Button and link names, like icon-only “Add to cart”
  • Page language, tap-target size and ARIA mistakes

What needs a person

Automated tools detect only a portion of accessibility issues. These need someone to try them, and we tell you how to test them yourself:

  • Keyboard flow from product to checkout
  • How a screen reader announces your pages
  • Whether alt text is accurate, not just present
  • Zoom, captions and pop-ups from third-party apps

Why store owners are checking accessibility

1 in 4

US adults has a disability, according to the CDC. Many shop online with screen readers, keyboard navigation, zoom or voice control. Barriers such as unlabeled “Add to cart” buttons or low-contrast prices lose those customers.

3,117

federal website accessibility lawsuits were filed in 2025, as counted by Seyfarth Shaw’s ADA Title III blog (adatitleiii.com, March 2026). A scan will not make you immune to claims, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Finding and fixing real barriers is the right first step, and it helps real customers.

Common questions

More answers on the FAQ page.

Will this make my store ADA compliant?

No tool can do that on its own. Automated tools detect only a portion of accessibility issues, and our results are not legal advice or a certification. Fixing what we find removes real barriers, and you should also do the manual checks.

Do you install anything on my site?

No. We load your public pages in a browser, the same way a visitor would. We don’t sell overlay widgets; they don’t repair the underlying code.

Why did my scan fail?

Usually the store is password-protected, blocks automated browsers, or disallows us in robots.txt, or the address has a typo. See the FAQ for details.
